ASU is becoming a top choice for California students – with an 83 percent enrollment growth in undergraduates from California since 2006. Students are attracted to the university for many reasons, including its top academic programs, accessible faculty, small class size in comparison with most large public research universities, and competitive Pac-12 athletics. Last year ASU enrolled more freshmen from California than six of California State University's campuses.

While true,I believe the size (twin XL) is standard to all dorms therefore stores such as Bed, Bath and Beyond carry them. Although currently the supply is limited, an associate there said try back the second week of June.

Ted... It is true.  My son will also be a freshman at ASU, but I know from my daughter's dorm that the beds in college dorms are longer than a normal twin bed, and you will need specialty sized sheets.

The prices at either www.rhl.org or www.dormco.com are competetive.

Hello All,

My son will be an incoming freshman this fall and I had a question for any returning parents.

Just yesterday I received something in the mail supposedly from the Residence Hall Association (maybe it actually is) about the fact that regular sheets won't fit the specially sized beds in the dorms and they are offering all sorts of bedding packages.

Does anyone know if this is a scam or if it is for real?

Thanks,

  Ted

Does anyone have an incoming freshman student who will be attending the Engineering Jumpstart July 22-27?  I'm looking for someone for my boy to drive with, we can provide the car.  We are in San Diego.

We have AT&T and haven't noticed any problems.

Tracy - My son has been on Verizon and has no problems. He has friends using ATT and said he knows they have had connectivity issues in certain locations

Hello...my son will be a freshman in the fall.  This is such a trivial question, but I will be buying him an Ipad for HS graduation and are wondering if your kids are reporting that service is better for AT&T or Verizon at the Tempe campus? I haven't been to campus yet (he has) and I don't want to make an expensive mistake! Thanks so much!
