Latest Activity: on Friday
Chris, I think that the dorms are probably open. But it's best to call the school for sure. But be wary of the dining hall hours..For example, over Thanksgiving last year the dining services were closed/or very limited. (not open on Thanksgiving Day, etc.) , even though the dorms were open. I think that dorms are totally closed over semester breaks.
Are the dorms open/available to the students during Spring Break week, or are the students required to vacate? If the dorms are open, are meals available?
My daughter will a sophomore next year (criminal justice) and she is looking for off campus housing. I appreciate reading all the comments on here, it is a help. I will post any information I come across. Look forward to reading any thoughts, ideas or suggestions on off campus housing
So far we have had no major issues BUT I totally agree with everyone that said: why do we have to use one certain browser to do anything...ASU is a large major university and this is 2014...you would think we could use a Mac or Google Chrome, etc to take care of things...it is a little frustrating as far as that goes
Whew! After reading all of this I'm thankful my son lives off campus and loves to cook for himself. He just uses M&G $$'s when he wants a quick bite to eat on campus.
I guess I'm lucky that my emails to Dr Crow have been answered in a timely fashion and my problems last year taken care of. I will tell you all that the Meal Plan problems is not controlled by ASU, it is controlled the company who is contracted. I know my latest email has been seen as my boy requested I send one to Dean Krasnow of the Poly Campus, something about a comment from the Dean, LOL. I too do not understand why we have to use a certain web browser to do anything, in fact even if you use that browser it is not working correctly currently. I will add that I put up with all of this only because my boy is happy at ASU Poly Campus and getting the education that I am paying for!
Good luck folks, with tuition and meal plan issues, dealing with the finance department is ridiculous!! As far as writing to President Crow, good luck with that as well. I have written several letters to him, and someone else always responds on his behalf, usually weeks later, after it's too late to get a resolution. My husband and I now live separate lives; I live in Michigan, he has finally gotten residency in AZ. We have had so many problems dealing with residency, tuition and meal plans, etc. and getting them to understand our situation, that we had to make the ultimate sacrifice. You're just another number, and our children pay the price!! If I had know all of this going into ASU, never again. I'm just very thankful that my daughter loves it there so much.
Hi Pattie, Dr. Crow's office does it's very best to reply to all concerns in the timeliest manner possible. Generally, either the Sun Devil Family Association of my office, New Student and Family Programs, can assist you fairly quickly in connecting with the appropriate university resources, too.
