@Doug, when you scroll to the top of this page on the upper right hand side you will see an "inbox".  Click on that and you should (I think) see my message.

Doug I responded.  I hope you got it.  For everyone else, here's a perfect document written in plain English with fill in the blank forms.  It details your student's rights as an AZ renter and the responsibilities of the landlord.  Remind your student to put EVERYTHING in writing and to keep a copy for themselves.  I'm sorry to say there are some unscrupulous landlords out there looking to take advantage of our students.  https://www.azag.gov/sites/default/files/sites/all/docs/civil-right...

@Doug, I saw your message on another forum.  My son has been living in a rented house with his frat bros.  I've got lot's to share with you on the subject - good and bad.  I'm not sure how to message you privately so if you have that figured out, connect with me.  I have strong feelings, especially if your son's chapter is looking at taking over the property my son's is vacating.

Although it seems that this forum is primarily parents of new students, I have a question for any parents who have students who have been attending ASU for a while.  My son belongs to a fraternity and they are trying to take over an apartment complex off campus to be rented by all frat members.  I have mixed emotions about this and if any parents have sons in SAE, can you pipe up or send me a message if you have any experience with what I am talking about.  Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi, My name is Brenda my son Brett is attending ASU in the Fall.  He will be studying Film Production and living in Arcadia.  Nice to know there is a NorCal network of parents out there.  He's very excited about attending ASU.  Any Herberger Inst. families out there?

Hi Everyone!  It's great to know there are so many of us out here.  I have been in Alameda for about 5 years.

My daughter will be studying Biology at Barrett in the Fall. We are pretty excited to get started.
